Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Agreement") form a binding contract between you and Pappus, Inc. ("Pappus", "we", "us") and govern your access to and use of our software, websites, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, you accept this Agreement.

1. Description of the Service

Pappus is an approval-gated AI marketing operator. Our agents draft marketing content; we never publish, send, message, comment, or otherwise act on a third-party platform without your explicit per-item approval. Nothing publishes without you.

2. Your account

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including all approvals you submit. Keep your credentials secure and notify us promptly of any unauthorised access. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to bind any organisation you sign up on behalf of.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to, and not to permit any user to:

  • use the Service to send unsolicited messages, automate direct messages, automate connection requests, automate comments, or scrape any third-party platform (including LinkedIn) in violation of that platform's terms;
  • publish content you do not have the rights to publish, or content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or deceptive;
  • make material claims you cannot substantiate. The Service's Substantiation Mode adds [citation needed] annotations to claims it cannot verify; you must address those annotations before approving the draft;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer the Service, probe its security posture without written authorisation, or use it to build a competing product.

4. Approvals and your responsibility for output

AI-generated content can be wrong. You are the human in the loop. By approving a draft you confirm that the content is accurate, on-brand, and lawful for the channels on which it will publish. Approvals are HMAC-signed and recorded in an immutable audit log.

5. Fees, billing, and refunds

Plans are billed monthly in advance. Trials are 14 days; no credit card is required to start. We offer a 14-day prorated refund on monthly plans — see the Refund Policy for the formula. Topup credit packs are not refundable after they are consumed. We do not force annual commitments and we do not bury cancel buttons; you can cancel from your billing settings in two clicks.

6. Termination

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of this Agreement with reasonable prior notice where the law permits. On termination you can export your drafts and approval history for 30 days; after that we delete your tenant data per our retention schedule, subject to the deletion SLA in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

You own the content you create with the Service. We retain all rights in the Service itself. You grant us a limited licence to process your content only to provide the Service to you. We do not use your content to train foundation models.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that AI output will be accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, or free of bias. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving every piece of output before it publishes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall not exceed the fees you paid to Pappus in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data.

10. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold Pappus harmless from claims arising out of your content, your approvals, or your breach of this Agreement.

11. Governing law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.

12. Changes

We may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to your account address at least 14 days before they take effect.
